SHALFLEET

The small village of Shalfleet is in the heart of the Island’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; with its stunning coastal scenery, the area offers a varied choice for walkers, cyclists and outdoor pursuits enthusiasts. Great for families and couples, there is plenty to see and do, with the Manor just on the edge of a beautiful part of the coast known as Newtown Estuary. The estuary has been designated as a National Nature Reserve by Natural England, one of only 200 in England.
Just a few miles away lies Compton Beach, recognised as one of the world’s best beaches and a haven for fossil hunters and surfers. The famous West Wight Alpacas are a couple of minutes’ walk away. One of the best pubs on the Island, The New Inn, is just a short stroll away, and Tapnell Farm, with its restaurant, café, outdoor activities centre and indoor play barn, is a short drive away.
